A Monster Within Me

I feel him morning 'til night
The darkness within fills me with fright

To know the actions I must do
It's a trial I have to go through

I miss the peace I once knew
With my loved ones I simply withdrew

See me smile and mask the pain
But the violence and anger still remain

I want to breathe again - can't you see?
The only way to feel that is to jump off a tree

To feel the wind whipping through my hair
To be released from this pain I can no longer bear
